There is no comparrison between Clay & Bogart. I have seen them both play a couple times this year and have no affiliation with either school. Clay is a better hitter, fielder, is faster & a better athlete. Crestview is a team of solid contributors and execute very well. They maintain composure and have used it to win a couple close ones. Great arguement between Clay & Spirnger for POY.

Bogart, as has the Bulldog squad, not lived up to the hype. Bogart seemed to play very unassuming and appeared to be going thru the motions. Also, maybe a little out of shape. Wolfe is also a solid player, but as with the case above, seems to lack team leadership. If the ship were uprighted, Grove could be a factor in post season. The do have a fine team that needs to play to their potential. Someone needs to step up.

Bogart is a solid player and Grove is a solid team. I think you are correct in that they are underacheiving. They beat Crestview last year with solid play and it was that solid hitting and defense that made them the team they were. I saw what might have been the play of the year tonight with a diving stab by Clay and a behind the back flip to Springer who made a great throw to complete the double play.

Does anyone know if Bogart is playing somewhere next year?

Drove down and watched the Spencerville / Allen East game. Allen East won 8-2 (could have easily been a mercy rule). Sure don't see the hoopla over the Dietering kid. Maybe a bad game. Swaney from Allen East proved once again he is the best catcher in the league & Patterson shut the door through 5 innings for the win. Patterson also had a HR to go with a 2b. The Mustangs looked solid.

Well, regarding the Dietering kid, you can't expect a player to play amazing baseball every single game. You can't write him off just because he had a mediocre game. As for Spencerville, what's up with them lately? They were hanging tough with everyone (LCC, Crestview, Bluffton) early in the season, but lately have been getting beat soundly.

When Spencerville played Crestview he looked like a giant killer but your right, after that game I though they would make noise in some of the other games but they haven't

I didnt drive down to see this game but i heard people talking about this game and heard the mustangs did look solid..Heard Patterson was solid all night both offensively and defensively throwing well when he pitched and stroking the ball at the plate..was told swaney gunned out a runner at second in the first inning then made a quick move to pick a kid off at first the inning after. After those plays S-Ville didnt try stealing again. (i dont blame them) Dietering either isnt all that great or played bad but the mustangs took care of him either way.

Not sure what went on during the last two games, looked like he almost didn't care anymore or something after paulding. but at Paulding he did go 2-3 w/ two doubles to center.... Spencerville just needs some all around HELP, against Grove i counted 6 errors in ONE inning!

Having 6 errors in one inning is definitely going to hurt you when trying to win a conference game..any game for that matter!

Crestview beat Lincolnview 13-3 for sectional championship. Clay 4-4 and a walk, junior Steven Semer hits HR

Bluffton had a good year and I have seen in the Lima News and other papers that he pitched great in a number of games. It would be great to see a number of Bluffton's players get some recognition. Likeitis was right with his earlier post:

"Cheney has some big wins for Bluffton and their squad is playing really well." - I was told ERA was about 1 as was there other pitcher Suderman.

"Kisor is probably one of the, if not the best hitter in the league. Has been the past two years and has gone over looked. Very good defensive player and has been a leader on the team." - I was told he's batting well over.500 and leads them in almost all offense.

Like before, Crestview, Delphos, Columbus Grove, Bluffton, Allen East many good players and tough to get all what they deserve. I guess since its probably that not everyone gets to see every game and likely every player doesn't do great in every game that some people see different things, anyhow, good luck to all these players...again.

Kisor is a senior. The only one on Bluffton's team. Tonite was the NWC meeting. Anyone know who made All Conference?

Have seen most but not all NWC teams
The pitchers from Spencerville, and Bluffton were very good
Rahrig P and Kortakrax (spelling?) and Miller from DJ
Clay SS, Springer 2b, and Ulrey from Crestview
Thatcher from Lincolnview
Bogart from Grove
I know there are others but not off top of my head

Clay and Korakrax are in top 10 in many offensive stats in the Lima paper

Its Kortokrax ... but yes very good hitter and catcher
