Nice to see the Browns get pummelled today. All the ridiulous talk from people about how they were going to be so great this season certainly took a hit after not being able to compete in the slightest today against the Cowboys.

I started this thread so Browns fans could talk about our team. I find it funny when people post about how bad someone else is and never put themselves out there. Go pony up on somebody's band wagon duh huh SUCKS, this thread is for Browns fans to commiserate.

Now down to business. The Browns suck! I continue to call for Fat Alberts firing. Lets see, more undisciplined play, stupid penalties and with seven minutes left down 28-7, we kick a field goal and never see the ball again. I don't think it was realistic to believe we would win this game but what another pathetic showing at home on opening day. Next week the Steelers come in and wow! Very poor effort, the absolute worst defense possibly in pro football in the last decade and the only positive to take from this weekend is that the Bengals might be worse.

Duh Suck was it hard trading all that Giants stuff for Cowboy gear?

Sorry, no Giants gear. And I am just talking a little Browns football. Browns suck. Bengals suck. Just something to get used to for this year. Just nice to shut up some of the Browns fans saying they expect to win the AFC North this year and run out to like 13 or 14 wins. Just idiots.

Fat Albert must go for sure. I really enjoy watching my friend do his impression of him though......Just a neutral observer, but the Cowboys could pass where they wanted, run where they want, and do anything pretty much.

What the hell was he thinking settling for the fg instead of going for the TD??? That was just ludicrous!!!!! I'm SO GLAD I'm not a Browns Backer!!!! I swear he is as dumb as he looks! (sorry for being so mean...God forgive me, please)

Duh, I agree that some of the predictions were very silly and before preseason started I felt that 8-8 maybe 9-7 would be reachable. But given the schedule and injuries and the coaching I am very worried. And that was before I watched a defense that was pathetic in all areas. Still we Browns fans push on and continue to root for our team despite the usual efforts. Browns fans are usually born into this and it is all we know. Some of us have never had anything to root for until last year. So you have to forgive some for being a little unrealistic.

Gummy,
as a Bengals fan I certainly share your misery...........I'm not sure if you put both of those teams rosters together we could compete...(definitely not either of the head coaches)...zooom

Maybe he (like me) had Phil Dawson on his fantasy team.
(Unlike him-I won my first game though)

I too said earlier in this thread that if the Browns would go .500 this year I would be happy. I know a lot of Browns fans had a deep run in the playoffs already planned, but we have to remember....last years schedule was EASY compared to this years. I still think Fat Albert ( thanks Gumshoe...I like that) needs to go ahead and start the Quinn era THIS year. Let Brady take his lumps with the rest of the team and then come out next year ready to compete for the division.

I think the quarterbacking is the least of this team's problems right now. Adding a QB controversy with Quinn and Anderson is only going to make things worse.
The more I watch Romeo coach, the more I shake my head. The Browns make stupid penalties, can't get the plays into the huddle and get penalized or bur their time outs, kicking FGs down by 21 in the fourth quarter. You name it and it all boils down to coaching.
Plus the defense is s sieve and with safety Sean Jones now out for a month it only gets worse.
That said, I'll still be in the stands rooting (or booing) the Browns Sunday night against the Steelers.

I hate the thought of having to go thru another coaching change but Fat Albert is unprepared and the team has a complete lack of discipline. I wasn't one of those raving after last years ten win season. BigBoy had nothing to do with it. The new OC had more to do with the offensive surge that Romeo. He is a defensive minded coach yet the team sucks on defense every year. He kicked a field goal down three scores with 10 minutes left in the game so he could continue to be down three score. Never saw the ball again. He called a timeout last year and then the team got called for a delay penalty on the very next play. Its a brutal clown act. I love the Browns and he is killing me slowly. Remember all of you who wanted Marty fired years ago, we be careful what you ask for cause we have sucked since he left. Offer Bill Cowher anything he wants but get him back to cleveland asap!

Here is the problem....I just read on the Sporting News Online that the Browns on average are the heaviest team in the NFL toting in at 254.56 lbs... and that is not counting the head coach!!!!!!

Well a common theme seems to continue to develop for the Browns. Dropped passes, penalties in the red zone, poor clock management, kicking meaningless field goals and a befuddled Fat Albert, trying to figure out whether it is a philly beef steak or buffet at Golden Corral. Losers! How about the State Of Ohio formulate a witch hunt for the two worst coaches in Pro Football, Marvin Lewis and Romeo Crennel. A couple of zero to zero ties in the near future. Jim Tressel is starting to scare me now! Football in Ohio is in for a long long season of pathetic.

How did Romeo do in math? Maybe it's because he always coached defense...he seems to not know that FG=3 points, TD=7 points. Down 7 points a FG won't do it. Even 2 FG's won't do it. Between him and Anderson going stupid all of a sudden it sure is frustrating watching them. Maybe our power should have stayed off all night........I didn't get to watch much football in the afternoon-power went off at around 3...then came back on at 9-just in time for me to get frustrated for the third night in a row..... wallbash.gif
