Has anyone heard anything on Wells? I haven't heard anything since Sunday. Thankfully, I think OSU should have no problem beating Ohio without Wells if he can't play (thank God it's Ohio this week and not USC), but I wonder how long he'll be out.

It still hasn't been officially released exactly what the problem is, but apparently Ryan Pretorious (kicker) has let it out that it is a problem with Wells' right big toe. But who knows.

Yeah I heard that too but they do not think it will sidline him for too long, Tress will probably just sit him this week and unleash him on the Trojans.... I say Ohio State by twenty

"Only" 20? Make it 30...at least. If Beanie can't go at least this will give an idea of what the backups can do.

Edit: Ok so it's only Wednesday but I just heard OSU is a 5 touchdown favorite!

I would but Tress is never one for running up the score but I will advocate and say thirty then....

I see this being the game that the Bucks play bad and win an ugly game but still in a blowout. Kind of like Akron last year.

I'm thinking something like 24-3 or 27-3. With USC next week and the Beanie injury as a distraction, I just don't see the team focusing their complete attention on OU.

I think this will be closer than what people will think. Something like Ohio State 24 Ohio University 10.

Come on 24 - 10! Hell, my drunk college buddies and I could drop 24 on the Bobcats! Wel, maybe not, but still. Think about it, no Beanie (Mo Wells will be running his a$$ off to show what he can do in his first start in a long time), and a bunch of underclassmen who will be out there trying to showcase their skills in hopes of gaining favor with the sweater vest. This = big trouble for the Bobs. Saine, Herron, Pryor and the 2nd team D will be chomping at the bit to get in on the action. I say Ohio State 42 the Bobs 7. You may be right on par though for the score for next weeks game.

Looks like osufan pegged this one pretty well........OSU didn't even come close to covering the 34 pt spread.....Thanks Buckeyes! closedeyes.gif

Just kidding! I'm glad they won, even though everyone in the pick 'em lost on this game.

Final:
OSU 26
Ohio 14

Just a note: Seems OSU will NEVER cover the spread against a MAC opponent. At least that is how I remember recent history. I don't think they've covered against the last 4 or 5: Ohio, Kent State, Akron, Northern Illinois, Miami, Bowling Green. Just trying to remember back the past couple of seasons.

went to the game today...it was awful but at least there wasn't a dull moment and we weren't leaving at halftime...anywho we sat right behind the buckeyes bench and people were screaming at beanie before the game asking if he was gonna be ready for next week, he gave a big thumbs up and jogged to the other side of the field and back...i saw him jumping up and down on the sideline a few times as well...he should be back for USC and close to 100%

Hey evilscotsman, you and your drunk college buddies could hang with Ohio State because the Bucks "dropped" all of 26 points on O.U. If anyone in Rocketcorner land ever wondered what 100,000 silent and stunned people looked like, they should have seen Ohio Stadium on Saturday when O.U. scored to lead 14-6. These same "fans" were questioning Jim Tressel's play calling and overall competence. I guess when you buy a ticket, you're allowed to say anything, and I do mean anything.
