Well Ohio State looked very good aganist UNC Asheville. Even with 7'7 Kenny George for most the game. Butler had 21 points and 5 3-pointers to become 1st on most 3's in a year. Butler holds so many records at OSU, but the most impresive has to be wins, 100 wins in his career.
I think they have a good chance to win the NIT, just wondering what you all think
Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

I think they can, but they need to be interested. A lot of teams don't take advantage of the opportunity and play poorly. Their biggest obstacle may be Dayton.

I think they are interested. Last nights gamealbeit against a mid major program, the Bucks looked better than I have seen them in awile. I think the snub might have been a good thing and a wake up call.

Anybody notice the Bucks will host a game Monday night in St. John Arena? I like the Schoot, but boy do I miss St. Johns. Haven't watched a game in there since the days of Jackson, Baker, Robinson, Hall, Jent, Brown........man there were some good games in there then................

I think this years NIT tourny will be good...good teams looking to prove they needed to be in the NCAA tourny...I look for OSU to have a shot at winng, but I dont see it happening....

Prove they needed to be in the big dance means what now, at this point? They had ample opportunity to win the big 10 and they would be in. They didn't now they play in the NIT. And say, if OSU does win it.. The NCAA isn't going to say "AW MAN..look who we left out.." The NCAA doesn't even look at the NIT once the NCAA has there teams set in brackets. It's a pointless tourny that gives some good ol "positive reinforcement" to teams that couldn't cut it.

no but its nice to have it as a extra tourny...you got teams in the tourny first round getting beat by 20 that had no buisness being there at least the teams who probably should be there still get to play for something...

The price for winning the conference is an automatic bid to the tourny... Not only that, the blowouts happen because these tiny schools play the best basketball schools in the nation.

Would you even watch the NIT had OSU not been in it?

Well neither of those teams made the NIT...

And San Diego has nothing to play for? Western Kentucky?

NIT is pointless..

Lol, people don't even know what teams are in it is my point whistling.gif

Boy, you said a mouthful there. It's a shame Michigan played so poorly that even they couldn't take advantage.
