I have here the BCS rankings for this week! As I looked at it, I saw a way that Ohio State still could play for the National Championship!

BCS Standings
1. LSU (9-1) still has 2 more regular season (Arkansas being the only remaining SEC West opponent) games until they meet Georgia in the SEC Championship, in which I believe Georgia could win!
2. Oregon (8-1) is now 8-2 thanks to Arizonia, The lost will most likely keep Oregon out of the NC picture, and maybe even out of a BCS game! With both Dixion and Stewart injuried in this game.
3. Kansas (10-0) is the ONLY remaining undefeated team in the top 10. But, they still have tough test ahead of them. They have #5 Missouri in 2 weeks, and if they win that one they will head into the Big 12 Championship game against #4 Oklahoma. Only 1 of the 3 Big 12 teams will finish in the top 10.
4. Oklahoma (9-1) Looks to be the team to beat in the Big 12, even with Kansas having their best season ever. I see Oklahoma winning the Big 12, and head to the National Championship.
5. Missouri (9-1) is in the same boat as #3 Kansas. They must beat both Kansas and Oklahoma to have a shot at the National Championship.
6. West Virginia (8-1) has still 2 very tough test ahead of them. They have to travel to #22 Cincinnati this weekend and have the Big East Surpise of the year in #24 UConn for the season finale. I see then falling short aganist the Bearcats!
7. Ohio State (10-1) just needs to beat #21 MICHIGAN, then sit back and hope that some of the teams above them fall. It has happened so many times this year, and is sure to happen again.
8. Arizona State (9-1) can now win the Pac 10 outright with Oregons lost. Still ASU has #11 USC on the schedule.
9. Georgia (8-2) is truely the team I am afried of the most becasue i can see them jumping the farthest the fastest. They still have #23 Kentucky at the end of the regular showdown. With all paths leading to the matchup with #1 LSU. If they beat LSU, I can see them Jumping over Ohio State to Play Oklahoma in the National Championship.
10. Virginia Tech (8-2) is the only ACC team still with a chance to play for the NC after Boston College self destruted. But it is unlikely they will make it.

And the rest of the BCS 11-25
11. USC 8-2
12. Florida 7-3
13. Texas 9-2
14. Virginia 9-2
15. Clemson 8-2
16. Hawaii 9-0
17. Boston College 8-2
18. Boise State 9-1
19. Illinois 8-3
20. Tennessee 7-3
21. Michigan 8-3
22. Cincinnati 8-2
23. Kentucky 7-3
24. Connecticut 8-2
25. Wisconsin 8-3

It's a good possibility now that Oregon lost. Pretty much two of those Big 12 teams will lose and maybe WV. I don't know about LSU though.

The LSU question has been answered!! OSU will be no lower than #3 come Monday. All they will need after that is for Oklahoma(?) to win the Big 12 championship Game over the Kansas/Missouri winner. That is unless UConn can beat WVU.

I think the top 6 will look like this:

1. Kansas (3) 11-0 1,541
1. Missouri (1) 10-1 1,469
2. West Virginia (1) 9-1 1,457
3. Ohio State 11-1 1,341
4. Georgia 9-2 1,246
5. LSU
6. Virginia Tech

Kansas and Missouri will obviously cancel each other out so OSU will AT LEAST be #3 after today. The Bucks are in if Oklahoma wins the B12 or West Virginia loses.

I say they're in. Their opponent is what will be interesting. I really think if both Oklahoma wins & WVU loses, the SEC title winner will play OSU; that being the winner of LSU Georgia. (Provided Kentucky beats Tennessee) Ohio St can beat Kansas/Missouri, but I don't feel they can beat West Virginia or LSU/Georgia.

If Ohio St ends up in the Rose Bowl against Oregon, they'll win. If Oregon loses one of their last two, OSU will play USC, and I'll take the Trojans.

I don't want to play WVU. Look what has happened when OSU played against mobile QBs.

If we make it to the championship game I don't care who we play, I will just be thrilled to have a chance to still play for the title, after losing to Illinois I didn't think we had a chance for anything but the rose bowl, but things are looking better now.

1. West Virginia has won tonight and should beat Pitt next week.
2. Kansas/Missouri play Oklahoma for B12 title.
3. Ohio St needs help from Oklahoma and they're in.
4. Georgia is out
5. Virginia Tech is out
6. Tennessee beat Kentucky allowing Tennessee to play LSU for SEC title. No chance LSU climbs back in.

Just curious to all the people on this thread..........

Do you think that the Bucks are the best team in the nation????????????????????????

There are some teams out there that are playing their best football right now:

USC, Georgia, West Virginia, Missouri is impressing me and Oklahoma seems to be heating up.
I think Ohio St is probably in that conversation and the only team I would bet the mortgage on to beat them would be USC. They could hang with anybody else.

I feel that LSU is still the best team in the nation even with their loss to arkansas. I can say OSU is top 5 mostly because of their defense. I agree that if OSU makes it to the big game I would rather see a big 12 team then WVU

It`s been proven throughout the year that just about anybody can beat anybody. Just ask Stanford and Appy State?
If Oklahoma wins next week Ohio State and West Virgina battle it out for the top crown. And this year who ever wins it deserves it, period.

Back 1997 didn`t Michigan and Nebraska split their championship titles? Now that`s when the real champs can be debated. You have to win it in both polls to be a true champion.

With your high IQ I'm sure you will remember that prior to 1998 college football operated on an entirely different set of rules.

Hey

I know you GET OFF on insulting people, makes you feel real good about yourself right? But the fact remains that Michigan had to split their tainted championship with another NCAA team. Notice I didn`t say division II either.
I can`t believe that the Rocketcorner expects to grow in numbers with smart asses like you on this site. Get over yourself already, you just may not be the smartest person on this site. Most people that are legends in their own minds aren`t. But then again, in your mind.....Or maybe not everyone is willing to take your B.S.

You feel the same about 2003?

Go to www.espn.com and go to the college football tab, then go to USC & LSU season results..........why do I feel like I have to do your work for you? Oh well, if you need help, I'll research it for you tonight.
